OVERVIEW

Our team at PRI provides complete contaminant remediation services, offering flexible solutions tailored to meet our clients' needs. We can deliver these services on a turnkey basis or as separate individual steps in the remediation process.

On-Site Remediation – We handle a variety of remediation projects, from minor spills to large-scale cleanup efforts involving multiple Underground Storage Tank (UST) removals.

Soil Assessment & Disposal – Our licensing as a contractor allows us to provide cost-effective services for the assessment, characterization, and off-site disposal of contaminated soils.

Record of Site Condition (RSC) – PRI ensures that appropriate documentation is completed, securing the necessary RSC upon cleanup completion to meet regulatory standards.

REMEDIATION

Our expertise in managing hydrocarbon remediation programs has resulted in significant cost savings for clients, handling projects ranging from minor spill responses to large-scale UST removals (e.g., 23 USTs in a single project).

Advanced Remediation Technologies – We are well-versed in contemporary and proven remediation technologies, which have evolved significantly over the past decade.

Legislative Knowledge – PRI stays up to date with all relevant legislation and how it integrates with effective remediation techniques, allowing us to address modern industrial contaminants.

Once contamination has been mitigated to meet regulatory standards, PRI ensures proper documentation of all assessment and restoration activities. This enables clients to demonstrate the property’s condition to interested parties.

Post-Corrective Actions – Upon request, we will prepare and file the RSC with the appropriate authorities, facilitating the resumption of normal activities or redevelopment of the site.

UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK (UST) LOCATION AND REMOVAL

Removal Requirement – Once a UST is no longer in use or has been dormant for two years, it must be removed along with any associated contaminated soil and groundwater remediated.

Environmental Responsibility – In Ontario, UST owners are solely responsible for the costs of maintaining, upgrading, and removing their USTs, as well as any related environmental remediation.

Potential Financing Options – Some fuel suppliers may offer special financing programs to help homeowners replace USTs with Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs).

Our team at PRI is licensed by the TSSA as a “Petroleum Contractor,” and one of our Principals holds a “Petroleum Mechanic” license. We provide expert services for the removal and installation of USTs and ASTs in full compliance with TSSA standards.
